There’s an unspoken fact that real estate agents in California are trained to list properties and represent sellers. Historically, listings drive sales and income for agents. Not hard to figure where their interests lie.

Most agents are either: 1. A listing agent under a formal contract to represent a Seller, or 2. A sub-agent of the listing agent that “brings” a buyer to purchase. Things are not starting out well for a buyer.

In the authorized listing agreement there is a reference to “CBB” or Courtesy to Buying Broker – how much the seller has authorized the listing agent to pay a sub agent.

We Are Pro-Buyer

Seven years ago, we became a Buyer Broker with all of the responsibilities and duties it entails. Because of our experience in investment banking, real estate, lending, building, developing, escrow, title, etc. we felt uniquely qualified. And yes, we use a written agreement with our clients.

If you guessed that We Don’t Sell Houses, you’d be correct. It would be a violation of our representation agreement with our Client. If you guessed that We are totally buyer-loyal; Love to find superior deals and negotiate hard for our client, you would also be correct.
